“Jane did a great job. It was well worth my time.”
— Barbara, Ohio
Are you looking for the nuts and bolts of how to win that first grant for your non-profit? You have the passion, drive and writing skills to prepare grant proposals but just need someone to explain the basics and get you on the road to success.
Your new job requires you to write grant applications and you feel a little lost? You know that you have great writing skills and good ideas but think that there are lots of tricks of the grants trade that you could do with understanding before writing a proposal.
You used to write grant proposals but it has been a while and feel as if you need to brush up on your skills. You are ready to refresh your skills so that you can write a competitive proposal and do your part for the team.
You may have tried other solutions but they just haven't worked for you:
- you looked at grant trainings or national conferences but they were just too expensive or too far away for your travel budget;.
- in the daily whirl you simply don't have time to read all the grant writing books that are out there and still have a life;
- the listservs are just too much to keep up with on a day-to-day basis.
Well, the truth is that sometimes inertia sets in and you just need a short, but really high-quality learning experience to give you the confidence and skills that you need to start taking action.
There are a few things that you need to really start writing proposals with confidence. First, you need an understanding of how the process works. Second, you need to know who to approach, when, and why. Third, you need to be confident that your organization is well-positioned not only to win grant funding, but the implement great programs once the funding materializes.

What are VideoSeminars?
Videoseminars are the next generation after webinars. But, it’s not scary or difficult to use. I am not technologically adept and yet I’ve managed to use the system very well, even without my 12 year old’s assistance. It’s really a breeze and you don’t need a webcam for it to work for you.
If you have a webcam: When you register, we’ll send you an email with a link to a website and a password. At the beginning of the seminar simply login and voila you’ll see me and all the other participants and we’ll be able to hear one another through the headsets using VOIP (Voice-Over IP means sound via the internet).
“Jane did an excellent job in bringing the complicated process of grant writing to a level that was understandable and gave me a sense of confidence in my grant writing.”
— Elaine, New York
If you don’t have a webcam: Simply log in to the website link that is emailed to you. You will be able to see me and all the people who have webcams but, of course, we won’t be able to see you. To hear the seminar you will need to dial the number that is sent to you. It’s not a toll-free number so long-distance charges will apply.
If you want to ask questions you can simply ask or use the chat feature on the website depending on your preference. The system is a fully interactive system and our classes will have the same feel as a live in-person class.
